Happy New Year!

2016 was a big year for Crate Escape! As we begin the new year, we are filled with gratitude to all of you. With your support, we were able to raise $19,000 to Cease Canine Cancer! As you know, this fundraising is near and dear to our hearts as we have been touched by the loss of many of our beloved dogs to the terrible disease. It’s such a bear—claiming 1 in 3 dogs. With your help, the money raised will go to the National Canine Cancer Foundation which focuses on education, outreach, and research.

2008 – 2016

This beautiful girl, Hilda, became apart of our Crate Escape family 4 years ago after being adopted by the owners, Stephanie & Brad Hastings, from a challenging situation. Despite what Hilda may have been through prior, this sweet girl was nothing but a bundle of love, making everyone who met her fall in love with her.

On March 30th, 2016 we had to say goodbye to our beautiful girl. Unexpectedly we discovered she had osteosarcoma and, with the challenge being beyond what we thought she could handle, we made the heartbreaking decision to let her go. She left paw prints on our heats & will forever be apart of the Crate Escape family.

We kicked off the year with our Annual C.C.C. Fundraiser during which we honor our beautiful icon Ernestine’s birthday and loss as well as her sister, Hilda. Many of you came out in support & did your best at scoring the Tom Brady jersey (and many other terrific prizes) in the silent auction. Our efforts were a huge success thanks to each of you.

Bunker Hill Day Parade

Crate Escape Charlestown was honored to participate in this years Bunker Hill Day parade which commemorated the 241st anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill; the fist major battle of the American Revolution.

The day was full of vibrant energy from the close-knit community of Charlestown. Crate Escape’s mascot, Blue, was a big hit taking photos with everyone from dogs, children, to adults.

With now two of our locations in Charlestown we look forward to continuing this annual tradition with the community.

Last Hope K9 Rescue Partnership Award

Last Hope K9 Rescue is a 501c3 which was established in 2012 and has since found FURever homes for more than 4,100 dogs! They are an all-breed rescue dedicated to saving abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters throughout the United States. They believe that every animal deserves to know love and we just couldn’t agree more.

For the last three years Crate Escape has worked closely with LHK9 hosting adoption events and providing care for foster dogs. Each year Crate Escape also participates in their annual Heaven Can Wait Gala where, for the last two years, has raised over $100,000 at this amazing event!

We are honored to have been presented with the Partnership Award from this incredible organization.

Cease Canine Cancer

On a windy but sunny October day, we had our first annual Cease Canine Cancer 5K which ended up being a huge success with more than 100 runners participate. In the name of the cause, dogs and humans walked or ran to glory and a delicious food spread at the finish line.

Santa Photos

Our 8th Annual Santa Photos were festive and fun and got us all in the holiday spirit and raise money for two amazing causes, Canine Cancer & Last Hope K9 Rescue. The two events together raise more than $5,000!
It means so much to us when members of the Crate community choose to spend time with us around the hectic holidays. And we get such a kick out of sorting through all the photos and seeing either big puppy grins or bewildered first-time models.
