Sun & Fun, Reservations & Vacations

Who isn’t ready for some sun and fun outside? Hooray for the warmer days and the almostgonesnow! Now it is time to think about spring and summer with your pooch, what you will be doing, where you will be going and if your canine partner can join you. There are many dog friendly accommodations throughout New England, which can be accessed easily on line. We have some great freeze dried foods which travel more easily than cans (SoJo’s and Dr. Harveys). Raining Cats and Dogs also has non toxic tick and flea repellents, which you dissolve in water and put in a spray bottle to apply.
You have an open invitation for your pup to do his overnights at Crate as long as she is a regular daycare customer. Especially for the long holiday weekends, it is best to make your reservations early. If your dog has not been to daycare regularly in the past 3 or 4 months, it would be great if you could bring him in a day or two a week leading up to your vacation, just to acclimate. We provide wonderful, comfortable space and great staff round the clock, so making sure your dog is comfortable assures a good time is had by all!

Providing fabulous exercise and socialization for your canine companions, Crate is ‘Dogness’ as usual! Because we do have a few new dogs, we sometimes reach a limit in the number of dogs we can take for daycare. Please call 24 hours in advance to assure your reservation!

Raining Cats and Dogs
We LOVE our homey back yard, but this winter was a challenge! Between the snow, over our small dogs’ heads (a path was always shoveled!) to an ice rink when the temperatures were going up and down, we are so glad things are back to good ol’ gravel and railroad ties! And a reminder to all our customers, if you refer someone to daycare who ends up coming for more than a week, you get a free day of daycare! woo hoo!

Van Stuff
One of the wonderful services we have been able to offer is the pick up and drop off of your dogs to and from daycare. Recently we have quite a few additions to our van dogs, and because we have to be able to offer you timely and safe service (no rushes!) we are not offering van service to new customers for awhile. Existing customers, if you could give us a regular schedule for your dog and make a point of calling us as soon as you know of any changes to your dog’s schedule, it will be a big help. Our van lists are done and the routes divided between the drivers early in the morning, so it is hard to add dogs on the actual daycare day. We have been able to accommodate most requests in the past, but we need to ask you to give us 24 hours notice for additions to the van list. Thanks!

Save the Date!
